In laymans terms it's a high-speed network connection. T1 can normally handle 16-24 voice conversations as well as internet for 5-10 people. Also known as DS1 and T1, a T-1 is dedicated digital communication link provided by a telephone company that offers 1.544Mbps bandwidth, commonly used for transmitting data from private business networks and Internet service providers.
